Looking back: Inspiration, Innovation and Connection!
What an amazing day it was on Wednesday 21 May! The Fontys IT Festival once again brought together hundreds of students, lecturers and professionals for a day full of inspiration, fun and encounters. And what a great time we had!
With the theme “Your development, the region's future”, the day was all about personal and professional growth as a driver for regional progress.
Highlights of the day
The line-up of speakers and acts was impressive. Eva Eikhout touched and inspired with her personal story, while Menno Lanting took us into the world of digital transformation and leadership. Ryan Hayashi blew the audience away with a magical presentation full of illusion, humour and amazement.
But the future of software (development) was also a central theme. One of the speakers, Wietse Hage, gave an impressive talk about the personal impact of technological developments and the role this will play in the future of our profession.
Those who wanted to relax could enjoy the XL arcade games – pure nostalgia and competition in one!
And of course... the inner person was well taken care of! On the atmospheric festival grounds, you could enjoy delicious snacks at the food trucks, while the Berkley Brothers and our own DJ Louis provided a relaxed and festive vibe.
Atmosphere with a capital A
The grounds were buzzing with energy. People sought each other out, had good conversations and made plenty of connections – exactly what the festival is all about.
We look back on a day that left us wanting more with a feeling of satisfaction. Thank you to everyone who was there and made this festival such a success!
